A latest addition to the 29 mm family of probes that were
designed for narrow space of our 830 MHz superconducting NMR magnet.
This large sample MAS probe is made for those applications in quadrupolar nuclei where inherent lack of sensitivity
can be compensated by large sample volume (e.g. 17O experiments). The probe can be tuned anywhere between 20 and 185 MHz
by choosing appropriate interchangeable frequency plates, with sample spinning rates running up to 10 kHz.
Bruker 7 mm zirconia rotors can also be used in this probe, but they are rated only up to 8 kHz speed.
Like other MAS probes (2.0 and 4.0 mm) that were built for this unique narrow bore magnet,
this instrument employs custom 7 mm MAS stator designed by ICBP in Tallinn, Estonia.
830 MHz magnet provides its users with wide choice in sample size and speed for MAS studies
of quadrupolar nuclei. Rotor sizes available are of 2.0, 4.0, and 7.0 mm diameter.
