High Frequency Fast MAS Probe
830 MHz, 31 mm magnet

1. PURPOSE

Part of the 29 mm family of probes that were designed for narrow space of 830 MHz, 31 mm superconducting NMR magnet, this fast magic angle spinning probe is made to cover the highest frequency range available in this spectrometer — NMR experiments at 1H (830 MHz) and 19F (781 MHz). Like its sister probe for low- and mid-gamma quadrupolar nuclei, this instrument uses custom 2.0mm stator designed by ICBP (Tallinn, Estonia), which can reach spinning speeds of 40-50 kHz. A specially designed flange allows to slightly vary probe's location in the magnet during the experiment, in order to optimize signal lineshape.

The narrow diameter and small sample size of this MAS probe allows its deployment by users of NHMFL resistive and 40T hybrid magnets.
