PURPOSE
This device is part of our effort to develop 25 Tesla, 52 mm bore Keck resistive magnet for user friendly NMR applications.
It allows for quick NMR sample tube replacement between experiments without disturbing probe setup and tuning,
which is essential because idle time in resistive cells is highly undesirable due to high electricity costs.
While short of familiar pneumatic insertion-injection stack, this mechanical instrument safely delivers glass
NMR tube into solution probe inside the magnet (currently Doty's 5 mm inverse detection solution probe).
Sample position can be adjusted during the experiment along vertical Z-axis.
Interchangeable tube holders can hold sample tubes up to 10 mm.
This insert works in conjuction with flux stabilization insert,
which is also loaded through the top of the magnet.
