This is a test showcasing the PRESS localized spectroscopy using our 900 MRI scanner with Bruker Avance console.
The model brain solution ("Braino") was placed in 15 mL vial and 1D proton spectrum was acquired using a voxel size of 8 mkL.
Solution "Braino" contains 12.5 mM NAA, 10 mM Cr, 5 mM lactate, 12.5 mM L-glutamic acid, 3 mM choline, 7.5 mM Myo-inositol, and 50 mM KH2PO4.
Note the very well resolved Lactate peaks on the right side of this spectrum.
The distance between Lactate peaks is only 7 Hz.

Acquisition parameters were: TR/TE = 4 sec/19 ms, SW = 5 kHz.
Water suppression was performed by VAPOR method.
The Bruker fastmap shimming allowed us to reach the water line width of 18 Hz from the whole 15 ml sample.
The unsuppressed water signal from the voxel was 2.9 Hz.
Total acquisition time was 18 min, RF coil had ID 17 mm.
No base corrections or water signal removal were applied whatsoever.
FID signal was processed by exponential function with LB=1 Hz before Fourier transform.
