First in-vivo mouse image using 900 MHz MRI scanner

Victor Schepkin,  Nate Falconer

A normal mouse C57BL/6J was anesthetized by isoflurane and MR imaging was performed using a home-made Alderman-Grant style RF coil of 17 mm diameter clearance.  Nineteen coronal images of the mouse head were acquired using FLASH pulse sequence (Bruker, Avance spectrometer) with TR/TE= 1000ms/4.3 ms and FOV 16x16 mm.  The slice resolution was 62x62 micron with a slice thickness of 150 micron.  Total accumulation time was 18 min.
